Metropolitan Bride's Ultimate Wedding Giveaway Winner Announced! {Contributing Merchant} Springfield MO Wedding Photographer

If you haven't already heard, Metropolitan Bride (Southwest Missouri's Premiere Bridal Show and Magazine) organized an Ultimate Wedding Giveaway and we are so excited to be apart of it! Local merchants teamed up to provide their services for one deserving couple in our area to have the Ultimate Wedding. That VERY deserving couple was announced at last's week Bridal Show! A BIG Congrats to Ashley and Gene!! They are so thankful, overwhelmed and overjoyed! I'm excited to get to know them better and we cannot wait to photograph their very special big day next year!

Here is Ashley & Gene's Story:

Ashley and Gene have been best friends since childhood, and for the past five years, their relationship has only grown stronger through love. However, the road to love has not been an easy one. Two years ago, Gene’s older brother passed away. Since then, Gene has become an avionics mechanic for the National Guard and was forced to be away from Ashley and his family for ten months. This past Christmas, while on a two-week leave, Gene also lost his father.

This past year has not been easy for Ashley’s family either. Last year, Ashley’s mother was diagnosed with lupus, and her family has struggled to adjust to the extensive medical bills. Ashley’s father now must travel to Nebraska for construction work and is only able to return home once a month to his wife and family. Gene has now returned home from the National Guard, but both he and Ashley are still struggling to make ends meet as Ashley pursues her education down a new career path that she hopes will help her provide more for her family.

Ashley and Gene have grown up together through love and sacrifice and cannot wait to be married, but, unfortunately, they have been forced to postpone their wedding day once already due to their financial burdens. This couple hopes to make their wedding dreams come true as they take their next steps in life, together.
